Artist's notes

This wall hanging is created from a yellow cedar burl.. The close up shows the spectacular speckling or Birdseye dots in the wood.

While working with this piece I was constantly reminded how much these dots reminded me of freckles "over and over again."

I finally got it.. name him "Freckles"!
